Community at JDM

Do you know that we have a set of core values here at JDM? One core value that is very near and dear to my heart is community.

What is community? Community can be described as a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.

I love that I can bring children, moms, dads and siblings together through a common interest….DANCE.

Several parents have made amazing connections that continue on outside of this studio. I wanted to highlight one set of dance moms that met through JDM five years ago when their babies started dance!

Here is what Amy said about their connection through JDM.

JDM brought us together in so many ways. What started as a casual conversation and smiles between a few moms looking through the window of the JDM studio watching their girls dance, has turned into our kids dancing together, learning from each other, looking forward to seeing each other shine on stage, every Thursday night sushi dinner, random weekend get togethers, vacations and mom getaways!!! We always say it takes a village to raise kids and us moms take that to heart. We disciple and love on each of these kids as if they are our own without any judgment!! Us moms laugh and can talk for hours and the best part is that we have so much more in common than just dance.”

Ya’ll this just warms my heart! This is what community is all about and I love that I can provide a place for these relationships to bloom!

If you currently are a part of our dance family and want to get plugged in reach out, I would love to help.

And if you aren’t part of JDM Dance and are looking for a community to plug into, I would love to invite you in!
