Xinyi began her dance journey at the age of six, specializing in Chinese Classical and Folkloric dance. As a dancer, Xinyi achieved hundreds of awards at both Regional and National competitions, including Nationals overall 1st place solo winner, highest scoring routine at the Taoli World dance competition, Miss Encore title finalist winner, as well as judge’s recognition awards. Xinyi has also received opening number invitations for the Nationals stage and convention and intensive scholarships.

At the age of 13, Xinyi began to share her love of dance by teaching. In her 7 years as a dance instructor, she has choreographed many award-winning solos, small group, and large group dances for competitions and performances. She was also awarded the Outstanding Choreographer award on many occasions in both Regional and National events.

Xinyi is currently pursuing a double major in dance and education. As a dance teacher, Xinyi strives to provide a supportive, inclusive, and comforting environment for children to grow and discover their passion for dance!
